We have just returned from the Selbourne Hotel having spent 2 nights there . 2 adults 2 Teenagers and one 4 year old and a 18month year old . The first night we had two rooms . Which where huge , Lovely and clean and the beds comfortable. There is a slight musty smell in the halls way's which I would expect with this quite old property. Reminded me of my grannies old house . The 2nd night we shared a family room and a extra bed added, as originally we were only staying one night .
New carpets, clean rooms, comfortable bed, good location, nice people. It's street parking but at least you get a tag that makes it free, and then the shower is fine. I check out this morning, just getting up. A friend booked the place for me so I had not see reviews and decided to check them this morning. Most were 5 stars which was pretty accurate.
We have just come back from a one night stay here. We had such a chilled weekend the room our nice and cosy and the bath I didn't want to get out. It was just the break me and my partner need before our wedding. Ann-Marie was so lovely and welcoming. We will definitely be back and we would recommend. It not to far from the main centre. Been staying here the last 3 weeks. Rooms are fantastic, clean and comfy beds. Great location, shops within minutes walk and very close to the beach front. Highly recommend and would stay again next time im in the area.
The owner was friendly and helpful. The hotel was located at the top of the hill. It took us about 15 minutes to walk down to the sea front where there were lots of places to have breakfast at a reasonable price. The room was cheaper than its competitors and of a good standard for the price. It was clean and had tea and coffee making facilities. There was street parking for £5 for 48 hours.
Only stayed for one night in the family room as there should have been 3 of us but one of the party was poorly. Adequate room and room was clean with two toilets , one with a shower. Hotel in a good location not so far to walk to either bays. The kitchen was shut for our stay it was being refurbished so I can’t comment on food or drink . The Hotel next door does lovely cocktails happy hour we tried . Parking was super easy and due to times we arrived it was free. Host at the hotel was friendly and helpful. I would defo stay again as good value for money compared to others that were advertised .
My husband, 3 children and 1 booked for 1 night here as we were attending an event at the open air theatre and live over an hour away from Scarborough. The hotel was absolutely wonderful! The lady at the desk was helpful and friendly and the room was easy to find, just up the first set of stairs. Our room was beautiful, with a double bed in a separate room with ensuite and Bay window which led onto the main room with a single and double bed in, as well as a sofa, TV & another shower/toilet room. Overall we were very happy with our stay here and would definitely book again.
Lovely big room, clean. Only problem we had was getting in the front door at night. Took us 20 mins to finally get in. Other than that good stay.
